Florida Auctioneer Association Daniel Wins Auctioneer Contest

It was all talk and lots of action during the lively and heated bid-calling competition at the Florida Auctioneers Association 2010 Convention Nov. 7-9 in Stuart. When the rolling cadences slowed and the chatter quieted, the crowd saw one auctioneer emerge as bid-calling state champion, KC Daniel.

Founder of the newly launched Associate Auctions, the Stuart resident — a second-generation auctioneer — won over the judges during the senior bid-calling contest for scoring high on professionalism, appearance, rhythm of his chant, clarity, crowd interaction and sales strength.

"KC Daniel truly is one of the rising stars in the auction business," said Frank Land, president of the Florida Auctioneer Association. "It was a real treat to watch him capture the attention of the audience, make them comfortable, make them laugh, and still stay focused on selling the items listed. His personality is perfect for this craft and I'm confident that his career will be an exciting one to watch."

Auction of properties in St. Lucie tomorrow poised to help gauge land values across Treasure Coast

PORT ST. LUCIE (March 23)—Though still burdened with some significant challenges, recent national news reports highlight encouraging signs of recovery in Florida’s real estate market.

The Treasure Coast will get what could prove a revealing reading of its land prices when a real estate auction—always a telling bell weather on evaluating value—for nine building lots in St. Lucie County takes place at 5 p.m. Thursday March 23 at 598 S.W. Grove Ave., Port St. Lucie.
